The sound of bald trees creak rubbing against each other in the wind in winter in suburb.

A recording of birds and insects. Sounds like a warm tropical jungle. Not recorded in a real jungle, but it does sound like one!.

It is a sound that, despite presenting some variations, transmits relaxation, thanks to the fact that it is not a very strong sound and is originated from nature. It did not have to be triggered, it is the natural song of a bird.

This is the sound of a single cicada that i found resting in my outdoors furniture. I picked it up and it started making this sound. I used a zoom h6 field recorded with a xy mic.

A busy morning in the deep woods in mid april. Recorded in the shawnee forest in illinois on april 15th, 2017 using the sound devices 702 and the stereo microphone, audio technica bp4025. A true stereo recording. The migrating birds have arrived from central and south america. This shows how nature sometimes can be quite loud and busy! pretty cool to listen to with good headphones on.

I was trying to record the sound of six loons calling to each other, but was interrupted by an aggressive chipmunk who had decided that the lakeside was his and his alone. I recorded anyway. About 2. 5 minutes of ambient audio recorded at the hurunui jacks campground adjacent to the kaniere river near hokitika on the west coast of new zealand. This is an inland tropical rain-forest setting. There are lots of insect sounds, birds, and the sound of the river (not very prominent) in the background. No other sounds captured (no cars, airplanes, honking horns, people talking, etc). Would be good to use for a camp scene ambient in a similar location, nature scene, etc. Recorded with a zoom h1.

The very unique call of the cuckoo recording on may 23rd, 2015 in southern illinois. This "singing" sounds like nothing else in the forest. They are not very common in this part of the country, so, i am very very fortunate to have captured this primal call on " tape ". Equipment used: marantz pmd661, with stereo samson co-2 microphones mounted on a tripod about 4 feet from the ground. I was set up on a trail on the edge of a large forested area which eventually leads down to a huge lake. Recorded around 6:30pm on a mild evening--partly cloudy and temp was 74 degrees.

I captured this excited pileated woodpecker on the edge of some deep woods, on a hot dusk in august 2010. It was about 7:30 on a calm night at the edge of the shawnee national forest. The tempurature was 85 degrees. What i find really enjoyable though is the rising, and ebbing and flowing of, i believe the typical summer cicadas. Recorded using my zoom h4n recorder using the internal buil-in microphones.
